BURGLAR ALARM SYSTEMS are systems designed to detect unauthorized entry into a building or area. They consist of an array of sensors, a control panel and alerting system, and interconnections. Sensors detect intruders by many methods such as monitoring door and window contacts, by passive infrared motion detectors, ultrasound, vibration, electric or magnetic fields, or microwaves. Sensors will monitor and connect to control panel and the local alarm output  may include indoor and/or outdoor sounders (e.g. motorized bell or electronic siren) and lights (e.g. strobe light) which may be useful for signaling an evacuation notice for people during alarms, or where one hopes to scare off an amateur burglar quickly.

Remote alarm systems are used to connect the control unit to a predetermined monitor of some sort, and they notify the alarm signal via direct phone circuits available in some areas from private cellular phones, phone of companies in security department. Direct connections are now most usually work in private house, office or buildings, school,  that have a dedicated security or emergency department  which can immediately communicate possible to the police station in case of emergency. It is possible to use a wireless cellular or radio device as the primary communication method.

Customers have two alternatives systems. Sensors may be directly wired to a control panel that provides sensor power, or may communicate wirelessly.
